Certified Web Design
Welcome to the Certified Web Design Course at Web Masters Ink which is now available online. By taking the steps to acquire the knowledge and training to become a Professional Web Site Designer you give your clients an end product that is superior to what is currently available, more effective in accomplishing your client's goals and help to make the internet a better place. The course is divided into six sections, they are:

  1. Creating Your First Web Page
    In the first section of the course students learn to create their first web page. No waiting until weeks have gone by after enrollment to begin to see the fruits of your labor. By the end of this class you will have a completed web page to examine of your own creation. You will be introduced to how to upload your site to your existing server, if you already have one, creating an on-line presence.

  2. Web Page Basics
    The second section of the course covers the basic elements of all standard HTML web pages that must be a part of your qualified web site content. Students will select an overall theme for their web site project and evaluate competing sites. Basic designs and formats will be assigned to their class project. Also covered are basic graphics editing and manipulation, banner creation and text manipulation.

  3. Design, Functionality and Site Integrity
    Section three addresses whether TABLES or FRAMES are best suited for the project under construction. How will the user best navigate the site? Introduction to site add ons that increase site content without sacrificing site integrity. Also covered are introduction to animation and optimizing graphics.

  4. Increasing Site Interaction
    The key to successful web site design is often designing site interactivity to lead the viewer to take action. Carefully designed web sites will lead the viewer through a carefully designed maze that results in input that is desired by the client. Also included in section four is an introduction and exercise in utilizing JavaScript(s).

  5. Search Engine Secrets
    It does little good to design a site that cannot be found on the internet. Section five discusses the many ways to manipulate search engine results to best serve the desires of your clients as well as maintain professionalism and anti-spamming principles.

  6. Aggressive HTML Programming
    The final section covers aggressive HTML programming for extreme internet exploitation as well as exercises in honing and fine-tuning your results to best suit your clients' needs. Electronic Commerce (secure online transactions). Then the student must complete a test and submit their site as his or her class final.

Certified Web Design
Web Masters Ink will review students' progress during training sections. Upon completion of all sections, written exam and approval of final project, students will be awarded with a certificate honoring them with the title Certified Web Designer.

Year-round Support
Certified Web Designers are supported by other CWDs along the way: while training and after certification. In the event that a CWD is faced with an impasse or needs assistance in problem-solving for a client's web site, a communication network has been designed to help further the knowledge-base of our CWDs. Continuing Education
Certification is valid for a period of one year from the date of certification. As the internet grows and changes so must Certified Web Designers. You may select from a variety of continuing education classes that will renew your certification.

Course Cost
The cost of the course is US$1310 if taken one section at a time or US$900 for the complete course in advance, saving the student US$410.
