Here you can try ParaChat's, JAVA-based chat room. (You need to use a web browser that is Java enabled in order to use it.
If your browser is not JAVA enabled you will not see the chat room but get a message
"Sorry your browser is not Java enabled")
If you're on a Mac, you need both Internet Explorer 3.0.1 (Beta 1) for Macintosh and MSIE/MW Java Virtual Machine for IE 3.01 for Macintosh (they're both here) for it to work.
Please be patient as the Java Applet loads and initializes.
